Carnwath Golf Club is proud to host a variety of Open Competitions that are both renowned in the local area and are great fun for golfers of all skill levels. We host events for Gents, Ladies & Seniors, so you are sure to find a reason to come and enjoy our famous hospitality in a competition environment.
Senior Gents Greensome

Always well attended, then Senior Gents Greensome is a great chance to play our Course in a team event early in the season. With great prizes up for grabs its sure to be a great day!

'The Roundel Trophy' is our Senior Mixed Open Greensome for Ladies & Gents aged 50+. With great team prizes to be won its always a popular event.

'The Aitken Trophy' is a Mixed Open Greensome with great team prizes to be won.

Coleman Trophy
Gents Handicap Open
July 13th
Dating back over 60 years, the 'Coleman Trophy' is one of the Major Events in the Carnwath golfing calendar. Our 'Handicap' Open has a Playing Handicap limit of 28.

Senior Gents Handicap
July 18th
The 'Tony Jacklin Putter', Carnwath's Senior Gents Open, is a hugely popular event on the Senior's Open Circuit. Contested by a healthy field each year, the event dates back many years.

US Masters Texas Scramble
Mixed Texas Scramble

The Club are delighted to be part of the "Golf in Scotland Masters Series" once again. Teams consisting of four gents or ladies will contest a Texas Scramble for a raft of prizes and the chance to qualify for the grand final, where you can win a trip to the 2025 Masters in Augusta!

Ladies Greensome

The 'Thomson Rosebowl' is one of the biggest events of the Ladies Season at Carnwath. This Greensome event is contested by teams of two ladies with great team prizes and is always a great day out.

Lady Lockhart de Robeck
Gents Scratch Open
August 18th
Our most prestigious Open Competition, the 'Lady Lockhart de Robeck Trophy' is one of the most coveted amateur events on the Lanarkshire Open circuit. The trophy dates back over 65 years and is contested by Lanarkshire's finest golfers. This is an 18 hole scratch strokeplay competition, though handicap prizes are also available. Handicap Limit - 9

The Senior Gents Texas Scramble is always well contested by teams from Clubs across Scotland.
This 'Texas Scramble' event is contested by teams of four senior gents aged 50+ and has good team prizes on offer
